Vineyards... but also parks and forests.

The fact that many parks of Reims contain approximately 440 000 plants is not a mere coincidence: the city of coronations lies in the first floral department of France with 103 communes ranked 1 to 4 flowers, among them Reims with the 4 flowers rank.

The "Coulée verte", a wide band of greenery that crosses the city from north-west to south-east, follows the courses of the River Vesle and the Aisne-Marne Canal. Although still under development, it has already become a very popular recreational and entertainment area for walkers, joggers and cyclists.

The Parc naturel régional de la Montagne de Reims, hiking paradise located in the outskirts of the city, has been created in 1976. It includes the spectacular site of the Faux de Verzy.
